Online Learning Final Week
Throughout quarantine I have been working on my art skills a lot. I completed the stippling project but I was have trouble feeling inspired so I quickly move onto something else. I have been updating my DP almost every week so I do not have a lot of new art to show but I did do a small project on my own. We are going through a lot of change in the world right now because of Covid-19 and I was inspired by clouds as they are ever changing. So I decided to do a small study of clouds. Here is what I created. Thank you so much fore being a great teacher I will see you next year!

This week I was experimenting with watercolor and marker. I drew a few faces and this was the one that was the best, even though she is a little lopsided, haha! I also did a peer critique with Kade and here is a picture of the meeting, we could not figure out how to video it so I have a picture instead!

The message that I feel like I am sending is to be creative and not stay in the lines. Julia in Her Natural Habitat, 2019
9” x 12”
Oil pastel, magazine dog, white paint pen
During this project, I had a lot of fun coming up with different techniques to make my artwork better. During this project, I used tint and shade to make sure Julia popped from the frame and stood out. I used blending to make the black and white lines also. Something that I could have done to improve my artwork is making that background more detailed and interesting. But overall I am proud of this artwork and how creative it is.
