Glue and Water Color Project
This was only a week long project, but it was very fun! I used glue and watercolor to make this piece inspired by San Fransisco!
We Fill Art Installation
Final product!
Artist Statement
I have always been inspired by people fighting global warming, and helping make a change. That is why I was excited for the We-Fill mural. When you look at the canvas you see a snail, and that may seem random but if you look closer you can see that the snail had buildings on its back. This is a metaphor because it is representing the effect humans have on animals. That metaphor was something I thought of early on in the project, but when we first started brainstorming I had a very different idea on what my mural would look like. But as I worked on it, what I wanted the project to look like changed overtime. I let myself do what I wanted even if it was not what I pictured, and trusted the process. This was actually something that was very impactful to me because usually I feel like I stay inside the box, but this time I just did what I wanted, not knowing if it would look good in the end. I really like the way this piece turned out in and I am proud of the process and final product. I am excited for these murals to be hung up in We- Fill!
